Nature Trail
The Nature Trail runs for 2km meandering through the SSSI at the heart of the farm. It starts from and returns to the orchard just below the main building. The trail utilises boardwalk where the ground is wet and stone elsewhere. The boardwalk was constructed from timber felled from the Trust estate, with larch used for the posts and sweet chestnut for the planks. This makes it a very sustainable form of construction as these woodlands are replanted.
 The trail forms a rough figure of eight, so if you don't feel like walking the whole way around you can just walk half. Along the trail is a bird hide where you can watch secretly for our feathered friends, feeding on the bird feeders. To guide you along your way we have an Audio-trail commentary, delivered through special handsets available from the Farm Shop. The handsets are free to use, with a £5 deposit. We have also installed a network of wildlife cameras placed in bird boxes and around the farm to beam pictures back for visitors and school groups to see.
